I like OutKast but if we're talking amount of risks taken in popular rap its Ye above everyone by some distance

Them niggas walked so that man could run dawg, niggas in the city was calling them weird for going from rapping bout pimping to talking bout consciousness and supernatural s*** the very next album.

Even was accusing Dre of going crazy/doing d**** all because he started dressing eccentric (before hipsters fell in love with his a e s t h e t i c s it was actually a point of contention when it was happening lol)

nan one of they albums sounded the same dawg.

I'm not a modern Ye historian but listening to it I could see the first verse of Preacher Man not being AI and just sounding funny cause it was recorded a while ago @Orangutan where's the paperwork

Internet has a way of comparing artist that get full creative freedom , no controversies with artist that don’t . Artist that often try to do too much with those that just focus on music . Then go “ look they better “ . When I don’t even believe you believe that

I think the thing i dislike most about discussing discographies against each other is how much weight people give to failures

Like a trash album like JIK doesnt take away from the greatness of his classics, they still there

It's a Quentin Miller ref ran through a Ye ai filter

Plus it would've made no sense to re-record the rest of the song if it wasn't AI

If you always set up specifics for comparisons of “ top rapper “ “ discography including Donda 2 , cuck , vultures 1 and 2” you will always find a way to say ye isn’t the greatest . “ only if you write your own lyrics “

Like there are many ways to discredit him . It doesn’t change the accomplishments. OutKast dope but I love MF DOOM and Kendrick but be for real . Then Mac miller just shows the age of whoever posted

Again if you just talking rapping itself Lupe is better than Kendrick but won’t get mentioned by this generation obsessed with comparing

Kendrick isn’t a good a rapper as Andre or MF DOOM. They have made less albums but that doesn’t change the reality

Ye has created songs that are various genres worked with artist from all over the world. That isn’t to take away from OutKast experimenting

I said this in another thread some time ago but I don't really rate perfect discographies or filmographies like that because usually that just means that means you are giving the people what they want every time or are too focused on the reception.

My favorite directors all made some experimental slop one way or another.
