when i say soulless I mean not really trying to tap into specific details of what he has been going through. that's one of the narratives people have for the album. "challenging" me is unwarranted.
Also, I used the word "surrounding".
"how much surrounding Bully's lyrical content being borderline "soulless" or at least disconnected is intentional." meaning the perception of the content. Having "personality" is not the point.

I don't think the album is soulless lyrically, but some of it is a bit dull
The "he telegraphed the audience's response" is some Marvel ending credits easter eggs J Cole fan service type of stuff, I like the way the music video looked but I'm not a big fan of symbolism
