Can you explain why they keep posting conflicting info?

Like one tweet will say “Scamma” faked sales, and then the next tweet will say Billboard removed sales to bring Ye down.

i will say, they were seemingly right about yeat's pure sales being tanked by billboard. he was projected at 47k and wound up with 26k. is it a stretch to say they might have done the same with kanye? who knows.

they seem to be cracking down on pure sales as a whole which is probably fair because selling 10 copies of the same album to stans they know will buy them is pretty s***ty behaviour

but from what it looks like the way they’re doing this is by not counting sales from “official channels” e.g. artist sites that aren’t approved by billboard or any independent music stores

billboard and Luminate counted sales differently for Ye and other artists . i think prevented Indie D2c sales from counting. They say it’s because They can’t verify legitimacy of the numbers reported but it’s because they have less control over D2c and want D2C to be dominated by the business they just purchased ( used by jcole recently)

in all fairness i sort of get it. i've been weary about D2C since lil baby somehow sold 60k pure last year, which i simply do not believe by any stretch of the imagination.
