Broadly, the “democrat” party is oppressive as well. They fund police and the military as strongly as the R party

Their lip service means nothing when their economic policy is stopgap at best and destructive at worst

And that doesn’t even include their foreign policy which is literally the same thing as the Republicans

Within the American political system, they are NOMINALLY less oppressive at best. In terms of their broad material consequences, they are no different from their red counterparts
