madison beer guyYeah and ngl a lot of times that overshadowed everything because we tied most of what he did post-tour to the hope of getting new music. If he was performing at an awards show, we expected new music. If he was performing a festival, we hoped he'd debut a new song. If he gave an interview we wanted him to only talk about the album. As a result a lot of that era ended up being underappreciated.
But man were we eating good
I think it mainly boiled down to the fact that many people weren’t fully satisfied with Yeezus. It was a great album and still is incredible but we wanted so much more. There was a thirst for mainstream Kanye again after how left Yeezus was. We were thirsty for All Day for a reason and that’s why TLOP hit so hard cause it’s what we wanted after an album like Yeezus

Between Yeezus and TLOP he went on a huge tour, did a full festival run, dropped a bunch of loosies, had tons of features, did loads of interviews/live performances and debuted Yeezy.
He had something going on almost every day, was the most visible he's ever been. I'd genuinely make the argument that the period of time between Yeezus and TLOP is a top 3 Ye era.
na there were some long silences too, he wasn't going every day. Between Yeezus and Sanctified we didn't get almost anything, and then silence after Only One. So it was like 1 active year

What exactly is "silence" to you? Because in-between Yeezus and Sanctified we got music videos, tons of interviews, the Pusha album... and a whole tour.
After Only One we got live performances, more interviews, the Adidas Yeezy premiere (with Wolves), FourFiveSeconds, All Day, features, festivals, private listening sessions/concerts, etc.
The only true true dry time was post Glastonbury-end of year and even then in that period we got a few features, interviews, Season 2 (with Fade) and the start of his Soundcloud with When I See It/Only One Caroline Shaw version.
If we got even half of that "dry" period these days mf's would say we're eating good.

After Only One we got live performances, more interviews, the Adidas Yeezy premiere (with Wolves), FourFiveSeconds, All Day, features, festivals, private listening sessions/concerts, etc.

I too, will relent, that the standards for dryness have dropped considerably and I miss those days of being a ye fan
