bro seriously and unironically said who are we as a society to question the legitimacy of jeffery dahmer's means of self expression
Gonna need a timestamp on this kinda claim
so i cringed thru the new interview and ye said that he knowingly said racist things in an effort to hurt the people who slighted him by hurting his audience, which is wide enough to hopefully contain direct family members of those who slighted him. he believes that a sense of religious fervor and rightious indignation from systemic racism excuses this demented, evil behavior.
this is poison in the kool-aid behavior folks. this is knowingly causing harm in moments of abusive mania. ye's creative mind weakens him to bouts of intense paranoia and his politically facist leanings will drag him further down his slippery slope. he has seen the power of the SWM and instead of wanting to destroy it, wants as much of it as he can get.
yes people in positions of power and influence can generally move like this, but thanks to systemic racism (as bill burr humorously pointed out) we now have a chance to silo him until he's "out of his moment." i think it is moral to try as a society to stop men & women & ezra millers of his ilk, to stop leaders with a habitual pattern of abuse.
What’s SWM
oh the apology is why i bothered to make this thread. the premise is that he is willing to hurt others when mentally unwell, and that this tenancy towards paranoia and abusive behavior during his annual episodes will continue regardless of his apologies.
it's like an alcoholic apologizing for driving while drunk
Mental illness and drunk driving are pretty far apart .. considering one is an active choice and the other isn’t ?
I’m not caping for Ye particularly but in the grand scheme of things that’s an awful comparison and shines an ugly unfair angle on mental illness

i have no sympathy for a billionare who has carte blanche access to treatment
if he cannot handle the responsibility of having one of the biggest platforms in the world (just allow me this a***ogy of media vehicle to physical car) he is rightly liable to having his license revoked regardless of the level of control he has over his disease. its not about being an alchoholic its about a pattern of behavior that threatens potential damage to society

ngl i was pretty heated when i made this comparison but it was regarding his comments in the second half of the interview where he used an a***ogy about a closeted gay kid in school getting bullied for inarticulately expressing himself (what i understood as some sort of sexual impropriety (dunno if he was implying coming out to a homophobic environment or backlash against expressing homosexual desire (or knowing ye maybe even "consensual reciprocation later reframed as unwanted sexual advances on some metoo s***")))
but i could imagine ye on some " yeah those cops didnt kill that laotian kid there was already chemicals in his system"

I’m not quoting you to talk about Ye my dude , he’s f***ing up big time, generally speaking though treating mental illness as an active irresponsibility like drunk driving isn’t accurate and a harmful angle

talk on this if you can spare the time. i think there's something there but I think there is a level of personal responsibility for hurting others even if you are in an impaired state of mind
i think the consequences should be the same regardless of the context AND that it is the burden of those with agency to combat the inducing of said dangerous states.
Just a satin gown, you asleep with no makeup
I'm just tryna be inside you 'fore you wake up

Stop using the word Fascit. You have no idea what it means and when to use it.
