WESLEYS THEORYWell I think a lot of people would’ve agreed with his “slavery is a choice” spiel if he had emphasized that it was mental slavery he was talking about, but of course he just spat out the very first thing that came to his mind and it became a whole thing.
making it about mental slavery would still be wrong
it's not mental slavery if people have a choice to not be mentally enslaved
also there's often a physical process required before one becomes mentally enslaved (food/sleep deprivation, emotional distress, etc.)
