I think the concern would be if he would finish and release things. Part of why adidas probably stepped around him like this is he is probably been difficult to convince to release production. Looking at how much of his ideas with yeezy have been put on indefinite delays and holds.

I mean look at donda 2 and the stem player. He thinks really big and expansive but then he never executes the ideas fully. It also hurts when he announces things way too early before they are remotely conceptualized. It’s something I used to do when i was into my art to force deadlines to push myself into overdrive and crunch out things to avoid perfectionism to putting my work into limbo, and i stopped making music when i moved away from the group of artists who worked with me who would push me to finish and deliver results.

I think Kanye at the helm of things could be limiting him, and he delivers when he has expectations, when he has free reign over the expectations he loses focus.

Adidas’ problems would seriously be solved by just making his s*** readily available like it’s not f***ing rocket science. Adidas wouldn’t have to resort to these decisions if they just had a standard line of Yeezy shoes readily available. You can still make s*** exclusive the way Nike does with their Jordan’s and other staples. Sell basics of some of his shoes and then keep the crazy color ways and iterations as exclusives. People only want knock off yeezy slides because s*** isn’t available. If it was people would buy it. Even with that price point. People buy 70-100$ Nike slides all the time. Just make a line of Yeezy shoes readily accessible and available and most of these problems would go away.
