40 sumn pages already that’s my goat
they said ye threads don’t move the needle anymore tho 🙊
Bro I was so hype for SHMG and I had such a s***ty day and then facts dropped and it somehow made it worse
dude went from working with PAUL F***ING MCCARTNEY to facts
i think something seriously went wrong and only he himself really knows what it was
i think there was breakdowns behind the scenes that probably burnt bridges important to his creative process
whatever happened between SHMG and TLOP felt like a shift in creative focus at the moment
but looking back it was seriously the beginning of the end
i’m incredibly curious about what the f*** happened
Yea I always felt like everything changed after he scrapped SHMG.
Something just felt ‘off’ after 2015
rushed projects with no rhyme or reason became more consistent.
Brother felt like he was teflon which with the run he was on at that point you cant deny but still
True Kanye purists point to 808s and heartbreaks as the beginning of the end. Or at least some of them did/do

In my heart I feel like The narrative of "Oh drake made Kanye crazy" is overblown
But I really do wonder if the 2015 that Drake had + the trap sounds of the time becoming the full blown zeitgeist made him feel like he couldn't keep up
Its 1 thing thats TRULY compelling is Kanyes fear for his aging and how it was going to affect his music.
Up till Yeezus, his most left-field feature that hes ever had on his album was Chief Keef on HML, and it fit perfectly with the sounds and vibe of the track. but suddenly, during TLOP, he tries rapping like hes future, thug, even like Drake on Facts (Someone pointed out that If Drake spit the exact same verse, his would blow up more. and i believe he's correct.
So basically alot of KAnyes downfall Non politic/life wise, was him trying to sound like Other rappers that he clearly wasnt. That s*** ruined his flow, lyrics, subject matter.

Fast forward almost 10 years later, ironically at the SAME AGE THE PERSON ABOVE MENTIONED WAS, who does this apply to now?
except its with Yeat

i think there was some marital problems and early parenthood fears that affected him that fractured his public persona and personal life that he never fully recovered from
that on top of the paris incident, and he just has not been the same

Tbh nothing will beat that first mixtape
I knew it was all down hill once college dropout dropped

Those the same people that think ye mental health is f***ed up because his mom died lol
Ye’s whole career (not just from a certain album) has been moment after moment of pushing the boundaries and now there’s no boundaries to push anymore

What's crazy too is it didn't just go from shmg to tlop
It went from shmg to swish! To waves to tlop
Just unfocused but he still had enough gas in the tank to where these things seem more obvious in hindsight
we can keep going further back but he has always been sensitive, autistic, and bipolar
his moms death just blew it all open and by the time the fans saw it all it was too late
i’m sure behind the scenes he’s been insane behind closed doors, i mean the MBDTF p*** stories only prove that by 2010 he was cooked
It's crazy cause he had no misses in his discography and then he dropped by far the worst thing he ever had up to that point
Like
Kanye dropping a bad song in 2015? Sounds impossible
Then it happens lol
Watched Superman die right in front of me and I had an awful day already with irl s*** that actually mattered
yo this feels like a f***ing flashback
