But you do realize music has....an audience. Audience that listens to said music has the right to...judge said art. That's the literal point of any medium.

The AI s*** corny but most of Lupe's new stuff is far times way better than ye's new stuff. Also Lupe dropped Drill Music in Zion literally last year. Ye has not dropped anything of QUALITY quality since Pablo (that's my opinion. Donda has moments but it's too bloated.)

No but 3000 said it best "you're only funky as your last cut" and that any artist in any genre of music will be judged by their output in what they put out. Eminem and Lil Wayne are undoubtedly legends and no one's taking that away from them. I can still say that their latest outpouring of discography has been the equivalent of doo doo butter. If they felt proud in their work that's great. I'm sure Hov felt proud in Magna Carta when it came out too. Majority of Hov's fanbase didn't.
And we got 4:44 out of that.
THAT'S what happens when you have an artist that isn't afraid of critique and isn't afraid to improve and build upon what people know of what they can do.

I really really wish we stop doing this (well, he gotta do this because it's either this or bro dead) trump card for ye like he's the only artist to actively suffer from mental illness. It's a lot of artists, current artists that suffer from those same things that ye got. Alot of those niggas didn't actively self sabotage their career, harm their loved ones, and lose billions of dollars while alienating a community that did nothing to deserve it. So once again, why do we gotta put the kiddie gloves on for the billionaire?

I didn't mention Lupe to compare their outputs . Lupe is an infinitely better rapper than Ye and in some ways in recent times a better artist. Lupe also lives an entirely different much more peaceful lifestyle.
If you believe you are only as funky as you last cut that is for you to believe. Me I enjoy new material every couple years. I don't worry when Kendri drops Morale on if it tops Good kid or TPAB I enjoy what they have or dont have to say in the present.
444 Jay Z put his heart into it as well as recent features . Not every artist is that. I think there is only one Ye. Thats me though. I think critique is great. critique isn't " 444 isnt magna carta holy grail" critique isn't "damn where is the cool 2 ". Critique isn't "this flute album sucks he should have dropped a rap album.".
I think this should be LP1 of this album and it needs 90 days to cook with better mixing , add some artist readjust things better verses from Ye but if it comes out on Friday my life goes on. That is a critique. I in no way stated this was perfect as is . In fact i have spent the time doing the opposite.
But anyone who doesn't isnt say "this is dogshit throw the whole thing away" is viewed as a yes man
