TuneoutI don’t know why you’re imposing this idea that I don’t think making something true from the heart that only the artist likes is the entire point. Never said that and don’t think that. Nah, nothing wrong with wanting to make somehting you think is good lol. Being different instead of making art that has a strong basis in the fundamentals in my opinion is just a flash in the pan. If you have a strong basis in the basis and THEN make something different (which is what kanye did and why it worked) then you got something special. But being different isnt what made it like that. Another example would be T-pain, even though he did something different he learned how to be an excellent singer first.
The initial discussion was about whether being different was underrated or overrated. I highly value it, because if you look at your local music scene, you’ll see a hell of a lot of people with technical ability, but it might not mean much to me if they sound like everyone else. Being different takes a lot of bravery. Obviously you need musical ability to go along with it.
But, ya know what, I think we’re talking past each other.

Oh yeah I said give it 90 days and multiple more listening parties. Reach out to some artist. Would love some women on hooks and features ( I iknow its unlikely). S*** really spruce it up and you have something. This feels rough draft but for a rough draft I enjoy it especially after the recent years output.
This is better than putting the donda 2 rough draft in theaters
