I genuinely think he knows he's lost something with his music but doesn't know what it is or how to really fix it. The numbers are still great but opinion is much more tangible, it's something he can actually see. We're going on 7 years of him dropping an album and a strong online reaction of "this is Drake's worst album ever"... it's literally happened with every project since Views.
Given how he was acting before FATD it seems like he thought he finally found the recipe that recaptured the magic... then he dropped it and it's getting s*** on again.
No hate tho?
I fear the outcome of this will be that he's going to work on a new project and isn't going on his hiatus like he said

he hasnt dropped a critically acclaimed album...well first of all, ever, but his last projects have been all panned like this
only way he do this it's if the sales dont go as well, it's literally all he has

i genuinely think CLB is his best album but yeah i think the “backlash” makes him second guess himself a lot, this s*** was pushed back like 3 times
i mostly think he’s just getting older and doesn’t want to lose touch with the youth audience like he’s always had

Cap
critics are also massive pretentious nerds, i cannot take your opinion seriously if you tell me MM&TBS is better than CLB

He for sure still cares about sales but I think it's not his main priority anymore like it was until CLB dropped
