But it’s overrated and the Fantano rating was a huge part of it getting cemented as good

It’s honestly kind of meh and forgettable outside a couple highlights. I think Donda is better than KSG because KSG doesn’t feel like a complete work, it kind of doesn’t feel like it’s an album

This is an unpopular opinion but I HATE the general production aesthetic and sound used throughout all the Wyoming projects. Most of the beats have this absolutely thin, cheap, anemic sound to them. Sonically, they remind me of the earliest beats me and my friends made around the age of 12. There is so little warmth or punch to bring things together. Not really much low end. Some tracks work better than others but the projects don’t come together for me

All valid opinions, especially the beats on Ye, couldn’t agree more they didn’t really have that ye magic that we see with DONDA and even vultures.

KSG def was influenced by fanta’s score but it’s also just a really intimate and powerful project, I thought it was perfect length and would have deflected from the idea with more songs.

Regardless, your right in that beats were off, I’ll take Off the Grid any day over Yikes

Yeah like even if the person themselves doesnt care about what Ye said, these public companies all worry about public backlash. And making even like 100M by working with Ye isn’t enough to risk their public favor. It’s lame, but Ye gotta get in good with the mass public or actually build what these corporations have, by himself. Which would be nearly impossible.
