A true to life biopic about Ye has the potential to be better than Walk Hard

Donda has some good, dare I say great, songs but its meaningless sequencing feels like he was throwing as much s*** as possible at the wall to see what stuck

yea the album is two hours long which is insane.

After a lot of listens, Back to Me, Carnival, Fuk Sumn, Burn, and Beg Forgiveness are some of his best tracks in a long time. Lots of other great tracks too but those 5 are S-tier to me

i disagree. but i like Donda, i just think it's all over the place and kanye don't even sound right in some songs

his performance & energy on here is far, far better along with it feeling more concise, but I feel like people are dismissive of the actual writing on donda cause it’s censored/religious talk it’s pretty consistent imo

Honestly the normal album until NCLB is really not a mess apart from Tell The Vision and Jonah (fuck that song in particular).
I think the sequencing is probably one of the better possible combinations possible with the tracks he was working with, length is decent at 80ish mins. I have always counted the Part 2s as bonus tracks so don’t really play them while listening to the album in full unless I am specifically looking to listening those in particular.
The deluxe has awful sequencing though, was a playlist putting the hit tracks in the beginning.
The original release is still amazing to me though.

Yeah. I'm always confused when people dismiss the sequencing or coherence on the OG Donda. It's actually very solid and there's a collection of themes in there that circle around one another. I just think that critics never got over that it wasn't strictly focused on his mom and so they call it a mess.
