LV gonna go safe and pick daniel lee cos i don’t see them burberry rumours being true and he did wonders for bottega

yeah def feel they have him lined up. the quick exit at bv really made it seem like something was in the works

if it is burberry then i guess tisci could move to LV

tbh i presumed that would happen either tisci or lee getting it. LVMH isn’t gonna risk it’s main breadwinner it ain’t like kering where they hire smaller names to take over

I can see a couple of scenarios, but not for a minute. LVMH finna milk Virgil's name/"influence" for all it's worth. Expecting his team to "carry the legacy" for a couple seasons -- while V's name still has "relevancy." OD resale numbers for the next year.

Then I personally see them bringing back Marc Jacobs lol. Total shift, because if we're keeping it 100, they could care less about the culture lol. The right move would be to hire someone parallel like Samuel to keep the vibes alive...but who cares about "right" when there's $$$ on the line?

I would be stoked if they gave both labels to NG, but I feel like he's on his way out tbh.

If it's not Marc Jacobs, I could see a "guest designer" setup like Helmut Lang's rotational situation (Shayne Oliver). Could be an in for Samuel, Shayne, Tremaine, Wales Bonner, Bianca Saunders etc totally drop a fashion bomb and have Nigo (just signed up for Kenzo), Kim (Dior/LVMH), Hiroshi etc all do a season and dip. They already have the blueprint with Dior hardware (Kim/Yoon/Matthew. I could see LVMH even giving someone like Rick Owens a slice...Dapper Dan, just go left field with it. But they're not that brave and like I said don't care for those cultural type scenarios.

I think Grace's ready for that gig. Bianca's on her way as is Maximilian, Kenneth Ize etc. Maximilian could really go crazy at LV but doesn't have that "name power" yet in the leagues of Virgil/Matthew Williams/Kim Jones.

Daniel Lee finna go on a John Galliano type hiatus if the rumors are true. We can scratch his name + Ye's from the candidate list lol
