Bro tbf only chronically online people like us use Twitter. The overall usage in the United States is >10% there is a good chance few people in that audience even had Twitter accounts and if they did the percentage who would decide to tweet it out might’ve been mega small. Also we all loved ye at the time and I sure as hell know I would feel conflicted exposing him like that if I wasn’t sure it was genuine/maybe it was mental health. However now it’s clear he holds reprehensible views, manic episode or not as I am pretty sure he was adequately medicated during letterman and yet still spouted off antisemitic conspiracy theories

Even if most of the audience wasn’t in tune with the internet, it’s still the type of experience you would tell your family/friends and s*** would spread pretty quickly by word of mouth. It’s kinda strange that it was just crickets and I doubt most people going to a Letterman taping are Ye fans choosing to protect him
