A tip: don’t treat metacritic like some timeless bible, you’ll be much better off for it.

But to just slightly expand, stop and think for a second about comparing decade old reviews of one album to another much more recent album (one w fewer reviews at that). And then also think about how critical opinions change after whatever date of the initial review posts - also, if you want, take into account how rap is a more critically appreciated genre today than it was in 2005. That’s all I’m gonna say, it’s really really obvious that Rapsody (no disrespect to her) has not released anything w acclaim, popular or otherwise, to match Late Registration - that’s why I said you were very out of touch, relying on metacritic will do that to you though

Kids See Ghosts

Its not a bad album, its just kind of bland and forgettable at some moments

It has some great moments as well though like Wouldn't Leave, Ghost Town, and No Mistakes, but even those tracks lack a certain "UUMPH" at times, that Ye's music usually has. Ghost Town less so tho its amazing

KSG was instnatly classic because its timeless, it sounds so good you'll be able to play it 20 years from now and it will still sound dope af

calling every album a classic just ruins what classic means. there’s nothing wrong with saying great you don’t have to substitute it for classic.

it’s been 2 years and hardly anyone’s checking the album like that. it’s time to accept that it’s kanye’s first dud
