He’s safe cause he had no reason to put Jimmy Cooks on the album but did it to be safe and get streams. Then he realized it was perceived negatively and instead of letting people catch up to it and stand on the drop, he puts out Her Loss immediately after Honestly Nevermind.
Jimmy cooks was literally a hint at her loss
he made a whole album full of Paid’s WDYM cro
one listen classic dat ting was
Anybody that was at Free Hoover knows the energy was sucked out the stadium as soon as Drake started performing. Dog picked out Ye’s setlist full of classics and proceeded to play mid instead of hits
who remembers the ye drake megathread
Imagine not declaring First Person Shooter the best song as soon as you heard the Cole vocals
Cole did Drake bogus on that song lol
I don’t think you know music like that tbh. I’ll give you the production and there’s more edge to the lyrics but basically the club oriented r&b sound is in drake’s lane, and Ty Dilla sign is very much a post-drake artist. His whole career is influenced by drake tbh and Ty’s melodies on a couple tracks sound a lot like drake ones; his verse on Paid comes to mind, the opening melody is identical to drake’s opening melody of “Take A Night Off”. There’s serious overlap between those two artists and if you didn’t catch that you may be a casual who don’t know how to gauge influence or musical similarities. Hoodrat also just a more schizo drake song
I disagree on Ty’s whole career being based on Drake they essentially been in the industry for the same amount of time.. Drake popped off first.. but Ty’s music was still heavily west coast, and a product of the LA “ratchet” club music scene of that time. Even his more “traditional” r&b stuff on Beach house doesn’t really sound like Drake. Doesn’t mean he can’t find influence from Drake or vice versa.
He was rapping rapping
Cole did Drake bogus on that song lol
imagine if fps was drake x nicki x wayne
on average tho i do like drake’s latest efforts more than ye’s
Wasn't a fan of FATD at all (As you know) but I did f*** with HN and Her Loss. Vultures I wouldn't say was overall...great. But it had great moments and was extremely entertaining.

I can't fw a hoe if she's following the boy anymore. I don't fw the members
Drake been dropping p**** subs at Ye for like 5 years, but mfs crying that Ye just said "Fuck Drake" directly
They hate when 2words is right but…
Even the girls is singing the schizo lyrics
For real he needs to do some cutting edge s*** like “I just need to get paid”
Truth is him and Ye are more similar than stans think and if Drake made vultures Ye stans would hate it and say it was basic and safe
He should do it then

Fair enough but his vocal approach reminds me so much of drake on many tracks and I don’t think it’s entirely coincental. To my knowledge ty didn’t really find his footing until drake was well established so I feel like his formula helped lay the lane that ty thrived in by the time he really popped
