Like bruh,i know this album is already a classuc but man,FOABP is a real top 5 Hip Hop album of all time. Everything about this album, sonically and content wise,is still super relevant. I've been listening to this album for at least a week and this thing is 10/10,nothing more to say. A true masterpiece, thats still an amazing listen from front to back in 2022.
If you haven't,do yourself a favor and listen to the album
I will. Thanks for the recommendation
It’s not talked about enough tbh
Its really not,I think people try and play it off as a relic of its time(some that It Take A Nation should be)but its nowhere near that. This album is still sonically amazing for starters, and the way their attacking Pro-Black issues on this album is truly in a way that most made people uncomfortable and sparked real conversation.
Like i said,FOABP is a real masterpiece
One of the greatest album ever created
Really starting to think Illmatic is a tad bit overrated,no knock on Nas and Illmatic at all,but that album isn't touching stuff like TPAB,MBDTF and FOABP production wise at all. I understand some prefer Illmatics boom bap but those albums i listed go for big time scale and hit it out the park.
Don't get it twisted though,Illmatic is still one of the GOATS
I haven't listened to it in awhile. Thanks for this post @gnarlynasty , tomorrow's gonna be a good day.
Bruh, you got your priorities f***ed up. It precedes both those albums, it’s on THEIR level.

My dad use to play 911 is a joke all the time, never heard the album tho
Let me preface that I like this album, but a constant trend with a lot of 80s and 90s albums is that I don't really replay them. I respect it a lot and when I'm listening to it and I f*** with it heavy but I rarely go back unless it's goat-tier like Mobb Deep or 8ball & MJG, Kast Hov, Nas or 36
