Z 326I think it’s mostly due to the fact of Yeat having a fanbase hugely derivative/branching from Carti one so this stereotype naturally arises. Meanwhile Yeat really only got somewhat similar beats and some adlib/vocal tricks but that’s about it lol

Rapping style Carti and Yeat have very little crossover, at best the repeating a line over and over that carti does the only thing Yeat also does
It's real odd too cuz people wouldn't call homixide carti clones when they basically work with the same producers as carti
