The song wasn't flat out ass so I'm reserving any s*** talk of his image, music quality and management for after the album drops but as of right now it's beginning to feel... generic. And ik it's not me feeling he's too "mainstream" now

Been like that since 2Alive ngl
songs insane but he really sorta lost some of his buzz lately
feels like afterlyfe + my wrist barely did anything or had any buzz - especially compared to the hype after when he dropped 2alive
he’s still dropping good songs though the quality is still nice and i like it but something just feels off idk what lol - definitely dont wanna say that he fell off though but i just dont listen to him nearly as much lately
I noticed this s*** too. It's weird because it's happening to all these new underground rappers. Yeat, destroy lonely, and Ken Carson. It feels like they hit a wall and get stuck. They're not having that huge blow up moment that the past soundcloud wave had. XXXtentacion, Juice Wrld, Lil Uzi, Carti, etc. all had a moment where they just became superstars overnight. Even the weaker ones like Lil pump, Lil xan, 6ix9ine, etc. had a moment where they hit the mainstream and were doing big numbers. Something just isn't connecting with these new guys the way that it was for the previous generation

Monoculture was still more of a thing back then

its because they got complacent with their music
nextel not in yeats camp?
Nah him and sep got dropped, twizzy rich is no longer
What I really want yeat to do is start using more unknown and experimental producers like he used to. Experimental beats and the way he used his voice like an instrument to compliment them

we need more beats from yeat himself
his production is always forward thinking, afterlyfe showed me how experimental he can really get. the snippets for lifestyle sound insane too
Bro did y’all hear this man’s last album and y’all wanna say generic is so laughable its insane
