that has nothing to with fans the ones that don’t innovate were never gonna innovate in the first place
Both can be true
ILUV and Nothing Change are the only 2 tracks ive added and i f***ed heavy with afterlyfe and lyfe
Snippets covered the album before it even came out. Theres no element of surprise and I’m on track 15/22
nigga Talk 2 God is raw what are you talking about
Teslas and Rovers is raw
Mountain Climber is raw
You had to go back 3 years to before most ppl even liked him (I listened to this project and didn’t like it at the time) just to pull songs
Yeat hasn’t been raw since before he blew up. The appeal of Yeat to 99% of people has never been his rawness in my opinion
Ok s*** starts after track 15
when the production starts sounding familiar for you right? no surprise
5 songs in what the f***
I thought ppl were lying but this is kinda ass
His previous s*** wasn’t but this is???
I don't think I'd enjoy a yeat album if it wasnt overproduced. I always saw that as the appeal

Maybe rawness is the wrong word but I can’t think of the right word for it, so I’ll give you that.
but the bottom line is I think he sacrificing a lot of his best qualities for ambition and theatrics on here and that’s my problem. Ambition for the sake of ambition is not it in my opinion. He’s simply not rapping and flowing on here. Yeats flows the best in class, and I haven’t heard one fire flow on here so far. He’s very one note vocally on here and leaning too much on the production (which in my opinion is ambitious but not necessarily catchy)
Not one crazy flow on this album and that’s crazy to me
Cap
3:25 on Shade he catches a crazy pocket lol noticed it immediately
yeat fans confuse me. this project got some of the most interesting and innovative production out right now but y'all still prefer his earlier more generic s***? y'all trippin
What’s crazy is if he just made the same s*** niggas would say he fell off and is washed lol
This s*** hard af and I wish more people would make music that actually sounds like the aesthetic they’re going for rather than (only) throw trap drums over samples from that aesthetic
when the production starts sounding familiar for you right? no surprise
Did u listen to a yeat album expecting no drums? That’s where we’re both f**kin up
He doesn’t quite know what to do with a lot of these instrumentals, I still respect the intention here

experimentation doesn’t automatically mean superior, I don’t know why people on insist on this

Yeah there's like 2 or 3 of these on the whole album for a grand total of maybe a minute or two
This would make a great soundtrack to some visuals, I hope he at least drop some videos or something. But as a pure listening experience, this my least favorite Yeat project. I respect that he tried to be ambitious and I think he will get a lot of critical acclaim for this and my opinion will be in the minority. And I don’t think he fell off, if anything he gonna get more popular cause people eat that Travis Scott type cinematic s*** up

every song has drums on it tho

of course it doesn't. i'm giving yeat props for expanding his sound AND it coming out good as well (to me).
every song has drums on it tho
these niggas are so f***ed up on trap music that they hear a kick and a boom bap snare they don’t even think it’s drums
