I think I’m noticing that with post 2093 Yeat is that I’m more interested in the production than his vocals… like you listen to Lying 4 Fun or Get Busy or All I See or Poppin and Yeat himself is the star, not the beat necessarily. He was way more melodic and catchy back then.
Yeat now is way less vocally interesting, he’s relying too much on the production and that’s coming from someone who is a production first type of person. This lowkey started happening on Afterlyfe but he still sounded good on that album

its not a bad album at all, but it feels like Yeat's only goal was to make bangers and service those old fans
not a crazy listen but I'm not dissapointed
lots of good moments
I'm sure if I wasn't already such a big fan of his earlier stuff with this kind of sound, I would find it way more impressive
