Yeezus was an album that had to grow on me, but man when i got it, I f***ing got it. Its an amazing piece of work. I feel like that was the last time Kanye 100% laser focused on executing an idea musically.
Grew on me immensely. Don’t think it was THAT influential but certainly set a precedent for experimental rap
well death grips was pretty popular by then
Guilt Trip my least fav too. It’s a great 8/10 by Kanye standards but yeah Graduation Late Reg and MBDTF all better imo
yep I feel exactly the same. 808s better as well
I still think it's a good album, but it really didn't influence s***. Crazy how every music media outlet was d***riding it and giving it a 10 but it really had no staying power whatsoever
It haves influence for sure, just from the top of my head Billie Eyelash said black skinhead influenced to burry a friend
no staying power? it’s been featured in countless movies, commercials, & advertisements. made EVERY decade end best albums list. dozens of musicians have spoken on how much it impressed them
it absolutely was present all throughout its existence,
especially considering the other album that dropped the same day that no one even talks about anymore
music publications d***ride it
not even, I was just curious because I hardly see it being mentioned anymore. it came and went
How people saying guilt trip is the worst song when it’s obviously On Sight
Weakest Ye song of all time, overrated

I've always had a soft spot for that song cuz I really like the hook and Ye's verse is hilarious

I meant On Sight.
I feel like a dumbass now
but yeah Send it Up is not that great in retrospect

lol oh well a lot of people don't f*** with Send It Up too
On Sight is worse than Guilt Trip ill give u that

Yeah On Sight is basically just basic ass daft punk with a Ye Verse and a awkward sample break
Just because it isn't influential doesnt mean its not a classic. Just look at Trout Mask Replica, no other album sounds like it and yet still considered a masterpiece
