Honestly the first 2 tracks had me concerned this wasn't gonna be very good but then tracks 3 through like 10-11 are all fire lol.

The Nas track kinda disappointed me tbh but I gotta listen again

Album is aite, better than his last arguably 2.
I know yg always been very misogynistic but I feel its getting worse and more mean spirited with every album lol

Yeah I didn't listen to the whole album yet but was immediately disappointed he didn't continue with a concept like he did with his debut and sophomore joints.

Why are his first two projects so different from the rest of his discog? So weird

It’s an improvement over his last few id say but that man is not reaching the heights of MKL & Still Brazy again.

First album always gonna have that extra hunger plus him and mustard had crazy chemistry. second album followed a very intense period in his life and that's reflected in a lot of the tracks. Without those external factors, it's not too wild to think he might struggle to come out with something as good tbh

MKL had that hunger that he doesn’t have anymore. It was also his first so he had something to prove. Also right place right time with Mustard.

Still Brazy had that “I might die tomorrow” energy from when he got shot, and the adrenaline of that event pushed him to put out as good of an album as he could.

Stay Dangerous could’ve been a great 3rd album but his energy was so low and monotone compared to his first 2 and it did not mesh well at all with the generic production which needed a energetic presence to make it pop.

The best songs from Stay Dangerous and 4 Real 4 Real coulda came together to make a very solid third album.

Now as far as My Life 4 Hunnid Out On Bail was fire i guess…

I definitely get that, I thought he was going to come back stronger after Nipsey’s death but that probably made things worse for him creatively

I relistened to Stay Dangerous and I really think the issue with it was the lack of energy. With his delivery and flows.

Compare it to the title track of Still Brazy where’s he’s rapping his ass off and it’s a night and day difference.

Energy is so important, I'm tired of this era where most rappers get in the booth and spit like they need a good cup of coffee

They think it's cool to not make an effort, like they prove a point cuz they're still gonna sell just as much, plus it's much easier to perform that way live

If this album came out in April and we got to play it throughout the whole summer I think it would’ve hit differently but this was a dope project and still getting some replays with the Gibbs album

i think this album is easily his best since his first two. production is great and he sounds so much hungrier than he’s been in years
