WESLEY THE GREATHe has had good songs after Still Brazy but it wasn’t that Still Brazy was G Funk revival that made it a great album, it was just a really well put together album. He had good songs afterwards but he definitely has not put out an album as good since.
Maybe it’s because I used to bump these heeavy to make time go by at my bullshit job when these were out but I remember loving stay dangerous and 4real 4real. Maybe I’m misremembering them overall and only thinking of the harder cuts

Stay Dangerous aside from a few tracks was really bland to me. He had the right idea moving away from the west coast sound and doing a full on trap album, but he lost all of his distinctiveness in the process. Came off very generic and by the books compared to how much life and personality was in his first 2.

He has said in interviews that after Still Brazy he felt like the label jerked him because he was making as much from his clothing as he was from music. So he dropped albums left and right (according to him) to fulfill his contractual obligations and afterwards he signed a new one with the same label
