Asking “how we still slaves in 2016” in a song is very different than a rapper saying in an interview about how the people during slavery could tolerate being enslaved for so long and saying that sounds like a choice and leaving out the constant waves of violent rebellions, mad slaves deciding to jump off the boat, and the eventual ending of cattle-type slavery being proof that folks didnt just take being slaves lol.
