Was chilling watching the latest Rory & Mal Podcast...
heard a quotable...when they were talking about a vibrator. and it really resonated with me. it was something to the effect of we don't say names...

so that kinda took care of the majority of my feelings atm. and then the other s*** was inspired by the prison industrial complex. there's no real commentary on it just something that I wanted to present in a song format...

I really f***ed with the negative space on this one. wanted to say more with less.

production wise this was a totally different song. the last 30 minutes or so I completely changed the tone/beat. I even rerecorded all the vocals multiple times.

Just kinda went in with a loosely written song so it was expected...

Very surprised at how this one ended up sounding. turned out 8x better than what I started with it.

I have a lot more faith in myself creatively after this one.

I woke up yesterday morning and started tinkering with an idea and that was the end result.

I recently found joy in listening to my own stuff as a whole and want to further explore a full-length effort.

Right now, I'm working on developing my sound enough where I can make something cohesive.

I haven't been to a studio in about 3-4 years, and I record stuff daily... so I have a ton of material chilling on my hard drive.

Just trying to make my own music/playlist for when I'm alone tripping on shrooms nowadays.
