Keep in mind the average lower class person has no interest in solidarity and wants to be rich and aligns themselves with the elite because mentally they believe they are also one of them. Someone who is overworked and underpaid is only going to see catching a break from a situation like this. Not a single ounce of social consciousness (or probably anything) in their brain.
