Oh nah what I meant was if this clean cut white guy with an aggressively Italian name assassinated a CEO of any race other than white, the discourse would simply skip entirely over the conversation about the healthcare system and the guy would be plastered everywhere being called a white supremacist. The only conversation you'd be allowed to have was whether or not the guy was racist.

This entire thing just goes to show how aesthetics and spectacle, and how race is unfortunately inevitably tied to that, shapes the discourse. Literally the only reason we are allowed to talk about this in a racially neutral manner where people look critically at the political implications of this and the healthcare system is because both the killer and the victim were white.
