is still his opus with 2 tracks I might skip. If I really wanted to I could run thru the whole album tho. I think the 2 songs I usually skip are the only to songs here where he’s using his baby voice lol. Idk what it is about this album. There’s just so much heat. I guess each song has its own purpose, nothing really feels like it’s repeating, He hits multiple themes, the beats all slap.

I Am You
is slightly lower since there’s 3 songs that just don’t hit like that for me. But then rest of the songs hold up so well. We have mellys first few singles, Murder on my mind (also mind on my murder for a very epic 2 song story), virtual which was the first song I heard by him, and slang that iron. Other huge standout moments on here are mama cry, probably mellys most vulnerable song, had a dream is interesting for its outside-the-box theme, and 4 Real is just pure slap.

Melly vs Melvin
Not really a bad album. But this def feels like the throwaway tracks from his last couple albums. In one song he says he’s 18, and I think dude is like 20 now? There may be room for a couple of these songs in melly’s top 10 songs but a good amount of these just aren’t grabbing my attention
