Grimy beats & hard rhymes >>> 808’s and autotune

At this point autotune and trap beats are more played out than boom bap

Nah it can still be here. It's funny seeing the fans of it talk about it but then realize most those rappers do nothing for rap.

  • Apr 19, 2020

trap has gotten just as much, if not more boring and repetitive boom bap

There’s some good alliteration there but other than that you diggin a hole I got any of my own ‘lyrical’ verses beating it. I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt as far as context

thx breh, im saying its easy to be passably lyrical. most boom bap rappers aren't on some jay/nas/wu s***. u write too, u know after a while its not thaaat hard

Implying rhyme schemes aren't a part of what helps make rapping the most complex form of lyricism.

Rhymezone for non rap artists trying to figure out a basic AABB rhyme scheme for their songs.

Good music is good music regardless of the style.

If you make “boom bap” and it’s good Music than it’s good music

Honestly man why don't you be that person to start that new wave, build a engaged fanbase and submit your music to editorial playlists, etc

this s***s old as hell tbh.

niggas make boombap cuz they aren't creative enough to start their own wave but still wanna be different. leave that s*** in the past, it was cool when it happened but nobody is tryna hear it in 2020.

being lyrical is not hard fr, esp in the era of rhymezone. ppl think that just cuz some dudes rapping flippity floppity lyrical s*** over old ass drums means its deeper than trap s*** when its the same exact content.

boombap originally hit cuz it was people starting a new wave and doing their own thing. thats what hip hop is at its core, being urself and making your own wave not rapping over dusty ass drum breaks.

man stfu before i b**** slap you and your mom, your mom gets one for birthing such a dumb ass kid and raising a jack ass
