There’s always been complaints about where the genre is headed but boring was never one of them
It’s also interesting to hear somebody with way more money than me expressing the same feelings about going out in general post pandemic being boring.

Aug 22, 2023Every year since 2019 the amount of rap I listen to decreases. Every trend atm seems like a bit of a dead end. In 2014 it was somewhat easier to see that Young Thug type artists would continue to make the music more melodic and really lean into all the implications that come w that. It’s like the genre got stuck in that, along with some other trends along the way. Calcified genre atm.
