I made a thread last week saying I’m moving to a new city as I’ve secured a job in media.

FAST FORWARD I’ve moved all the way up here away from all of my family and friends and my work haven’t even offered me my contract. They just keep telling me to be wait as they’re busy hiring more people.

My landlord is requesting proof of work (which I don’t have because my
Work are literally dumb asf) and if I don’t get he said he won’t hesitate to evict me.

Fam I spent over £1000 on rent and to move into some apartment now I’m poor asf waiting to start work. Tf do I do big emphasis on the poor, I can’t even afford to eat out smh.

They said I’d be starting on the 11th in my interview and that my contract etc would be given to me then. Fast forward to Monday and they said they will contact me when they are ready.

I mean the reality is bcus u don't have proof and likely won't get it soon u might just need to demand a refund on rent and move back home till u figure s*** out. Only other option is find another job. Ppl are mad frivolous out here breh u can't trust ppl to come thru till u rly know them

Just tell the employers you need proof of work? If they value you at all they’ll give you something it’s nothing but a rubber stamp for them...
The request is also a good way to gauge how serious / stable the firmament of this job is cause no offense op, from the data u seem a lil naive.

Yeah, tbh I don’t think they really care which is annoying asf.

They told me in both email and irl that I will start Monday. Hounded them all week last week and they kept repeating that I would get my details by last Friday. Smh

I’ve explained my situation to one of the biggest media companies. They are potentially offering me a full time job!
