Last year I had Biggie's Life After Death in heavy rotation and that s*** was hitting harder than ever before
So hard that everything I tried listening to after felt weak. Had me looking at classic records sideways. Listening to Reasonable Doubt like "this s*** is not that good"
You ever experience this feeling with an album?
no because i usually follow it up by listening to music i enjoy equally if not more
nah not really, i have a pretty diverse and eclectic taste. one minute im listening to tpab next thing you know im bumping tame impala or bon iver
I go through phases with this so heavy, my most recent was my sade binge, nothing was able to follow up so i just kept running more sade
the production on the latest magdalena bay and jpegmafia albums really opened my eyes to how detailed and layered u can go while still making it digestible for the masses

Oh man I get you
I have really abstract taste as well beause in the next 5 minutes I guarantee I'll go from listening to Death Grips to listening to Chief Keef
Wlr for almost two years
Life after death is that type of album where it consumes you for a while I def relate to this, I’m hoping the diddy s*** didn’t ruin the immersion for me, been a while
