Only year I hated was 2014

    2014 was hard

  • 2016 was so bad, I finally said "fuck it, I might as well try this s*** too" - after over 10 years of resisting ever making or recording music (despite always wanting to)

    Let that sink in

Didn't My Krazy Life release in 2014?

Yeah I forgot to put it on there.

I’m tired of the 2014 was a trash year rhetoric, there were a lot of solid projects that year

  • Jun 3, 2020

It ruined rap without a doubt.

The drake Kendrick Cole generation is where rap was supposed to go.

And then it became a parody, which you guys like to call “vibes”

“Trap was just about the vibes”

It‘s not about you, you‘re just a spokesperson for others that think like you and there‘s been not just one thread the last couple days or week...

But besides that I just feel that‘s not ok, it‘s disrespect lol

"spokesperson for others that think like you"

Dude shut up. I don't represent anyone but myself. If someone doesn't like something that's on them. NOT ME...

what kind of logic is this?

edit: and notice how you seem to be so offended over the late 10's s*** I posted in that thread even though if you had paid any attention you saw I was posting stuff from the early 2010's too

this is what I like to call selective thinking

Like who? Look at the XXL Freshmen class that year and look. where they're at now?

    • 21 dropped his best project at the end of 2018 and won a grammy this year

    • Uzi is still popping. He's one of the biggest artists in North America and still making great music.

    • G Herbo is still popping.

    • Kodak has never fallen off in terms of quality or popularity. Jail is the only thing that gets in his way.

    • Dave East, Anderson Paak, and Denzel Curry all have their own audience.

    • White people listen to lil d***y and he has a show

So out of the 2016 xxl freshman class, only Yachty and Desiigner have completely fallen off.

Obviously niggas like Famous Dex fell off but that was destined to happen.

  • Jun 3, 2020
    yOuNg LeOnArDo

I don‘t mean it like that... I just think you don‘t have to prove anything to others so there doesn‘t have to be an intellectual meaning so I don‘t get why that‘s so important

But vibes do have a lot of meaning and substance and that‘s what people don‘t get... so to me vibes mean that it is meaningful

Yep, this makes any of your arguments invalid now

You’re still wrong tbh because which prominent rappers really fell off from the SoundCloud rap era?

Uzi, Carti, 21, Trippie, X, Kodak, Juice Wrld, and evening 6ix9ine all started out as “SoundCloud rappers“ but eventually evolved past that label.

(Yes I know X and Juice died, but they were huge prior to their death)

If you’re talking about niggas like Dex, Uno, Fauni and Ugly God? Sure they fell off but they never really had a high ceiling to begin with.
