Drizzy has triple entendres for days but the line OP posted is one of his most literal boasts.

Drizzy wordplay is definitely crazy but OP that s***s a super duper reach

If you think his wordplay crazy I don't think this is much of a reach tbh. It fits too well imo to be a reach but I guess I don't blame people for thinking of it as such.

It's just the song we were listening to bruh. What exactly is so wrong with this line being the one that you'd say this and not even drop one yourself?

just think the second part is a huge reach. and even if he did mean it that way, its not anything special.

I agree with the rest of the sentiment though, he doesnt get enough credit

The Kevin Durant Achilles line with the rock a check line back to back in gold roses is absolutely absurd.

  • Feb 27, 2020

"You toyin with it like Happy Meal"

    1. The person is toying with his heart like a cheap toy you find in a Happy Meal.
    2. "Toyin" with it like there is a TOY IN a Happy Meal.

People who say this line trash don't even know about the second meaning. Not saying it's the best line or super lyrical but it ain't bad.

I just gotta put this one in because I always find it corny how most people keep saying this line almost singe-handedly ruin the album for them.

This is how I interpreted that line, it isn’t too different from yours. “All this capital it’s like I left the Caps Lock on. It’s like everytime I plot a Return I seem to Shift the game. See I can still talk Keys without pitching ‘caine”.

    • He plays with the capital-capital homonym. In this instance capital means both cash reserves & uppercase letters.

    • CAPS LOCK, RETURN & SHIFT are all KEYS on a computer’s keyboard.

    • ‘KEYS’ are also kilograms or bricks of cocaine.

    • ‘Caine is shorthand for cocaine, hence “pitching ‘Caine”.

Thanks for elaborating on it more.

Can't forget about the "Keys" of a piano/piano keyboard while also mentioning "Pitch"

    "More immature than Marques Houston,
Cuts too deep for bandaid solution."

    • Marques Houston was on a sitcom called 'Cuts'
    • a 'cut' can also be slang for a song. Also 'deep cuts' are songs too.
    • Obviously, referring to a literal cut, and it being too deep for a bandaid.

    Triple entendre

He is not referring to the “deep cuts” from his albums in those line lmao

    Y’all try way too hard

I don’t see how y’all are saying these lines are reaches. First of all, none of us was there to know the intention of the line. Secondly, how are y’all even in here as Drake fans if you don’t think he’d be that meticulous to wrap multiple meanings in one or two lines?

"Imagine how it feel to watch another nigga at the top
You know that if you wasn't you, you would be dissin' you, dawg
    Damn, okay, from that perspective
I see what you're talkin' 'bout, no way to soften that
'Cause me, I was tryna find out where I lost 'em at
But maybe I ain't lose 'em at all
Maybe I keep movin' forward and they're just stagnant
    They ain't movin' at all"

    1. Ends the first lines with "top' and "dawg" referencing Kendrick as one of the dudes dissing him (I know most of us probably know this but you'd be surprised how many people didn't catch this"

    2. He mentions being at the top of the rap game but also at a level where you are high up and have to see from the "perspective" of people below him but he can never truly understand. He can't come down from where he is because there is "no way to soften that" landing from how high up he is and he thought the fans where moving forward with him but he realizes y'all just bums who hasn't advanced their level of thinking. (Damn KTT caught a body with that one)

For me this spelled Kendrick from the jump it was abundantly clear who he was talking about. I didn’t, however, catch the ‘top’ & ‘dawg’ flip & knowing Drake that was definitely deliberate. Sharp ear bro damn 👊
