Ehh I visit every once in a while and compared to the deep south (I lived in TX for 8 years lol) it's really not like that at all

(then again I'm white so idk I cant really speak personally)

i’m actually from MA, probably close to where u live from the sound of it lol

portland is ok, definitely the best part of maine to live in as it at least has some things to do

And yeah there's definitely stuff to do if you're into the outdoors and also lots of places to travel, it is pretty far removed away from society (which personally I like) but lots of people don't like that
