Both artists started and ended the decade remarkably strong. (Talking about quality of music, not solely popularity/sales)

Drake is not in this conversation since he hasn't had a great album/projects since IYRTITL (More Life is decent tho)

Kanye had it in the bag with Yeezus and TLOP, but everything since Ye has been meh

Kendrick dropped Section 80, GKMC, TPAB, and DAMN. All these projects have aged wonderfully

Thug has dropped RGTTP1, Barter 6, BTG, Jeffery, Slime Seasons, and SMF. All of these projects aged ridiculously well.

Meanwhile ASAP Rocky started the decade 'well' but fell off pretty bad by 2016.
Cole was never great, some good music on every project. FHD his closest thing to being good.

Future did great most of the decade, but music definitely hit a decline with High Off Life.

Drake obviously dominated in terms of relevancy and popularity, but if we're talking in terms of consistent music throughout the decade he is not touching Thugger or Kendrick.

Let me know your thoughts and opinions on this matter KTT2.

I agree, both dominated in their respective lanes. Thug helped mutate the form of traditional rapping and Kendrick perfected the art of conscious rap while keeping it at a level of accessibility and universality to really connect

Views and Scorpion brings him down immensely

Thug and Kendrick have never dropped a body of work as low effort as Scorpion

Take Care and NWTS two of my favorite albums of all time, but Drake has not been on that wave anymore lets be real

I never said High Off Life was bad

I just said it was a sharp decline in quality for Future

Obviously still one of my favorite artists

He's literally becoming one of the most successful artists in the hip hop industry ?

His albums he dropped over half a decade ago are going gold/plat after doing 16k first week.

This is a sign of HUGE growth
