    So no answer?

No it would not do what it did or even comparable

Kendrick has always broke more ground hopping on others songs with a good feature

    Refer to control

  • Oct 19, 2024

Sorry thought using future and metro surprise feature was common sense

That’s why there’s this weird media push against Kenny in recent times. Because he doesn’t work for the industry like Drake has.

Objectively the Pusha T beef damage was pretty minimal but the Kenny damage was damning. NLU really hurt Drakes whole brand and they FINALLY realized it. A lot of casuals are not rocking with him anymore and the numbers have shown it post beef.

He’s still the most streamed artist in hip-hop because his old music will always hit for people but the new music and brand in 2024 looks troubled.

"he doesnt work for the industry like that"

LMAO, the man that won all the bet awards and is going to play at the SB does not work for the industry "like that". You funny

You acting like Drake is selling 10k copies now. His pockets are fine, he is still on top and the numbers show it.

Its clear that is very hard for you to believe that not everybody f***s with Kendrick, he is not a "saviour", he is another business man working for other businessman. They dont like Drake and plotted to attack his brand, which gave him numbers. But their original material is lacking, that new Kenny song is not making waves .

Euphoria success should tell u otherwise. Also if control was a solo song it would have the same impact, zero people think of big Sean when that song is brought up

Euphoria success does not compare to not like us (end )or like that ( start )

    Euphoria now overshadowed unfortunately

Euphoria huge because it was “ will he respond “ be for real

And him popping out on a solo track instead of a future one would be even bigger than euphoria, that’s my point. Only thing metro and future did was ad longevity to the success of the track otherwise it would have hit the same

We just disagree no disrespect Kendrick didn’t even pop out to a single metro or future show

In my mind he used them

You think they were like Kendrick hop on here and diss Drake more than either one of us do on the entire project ? Overshadowing the entire project

  • Drake and Thugs relationship is mutually beneficial , Thug gets some of the biggest songs of his career and his lawyer fees paid for and Drake gets the cultural credibility and street looks of Atlanta. Although Drake is still the most streamed artist due to his incredible catalog , his 2024 streams have not been great no matter what style he's trying. 21 Savage said 'we need more people in the culture like him' on stage about Drake a few months ago and now this tweet. Drake knows he needs the cultural credibility more than ever right now. Even if people are in doubt of whether Atlanta mess with Drake or not it helps his case as a lot of people still stuck by Gunna despite what Thug and Future have hinted.

name one thing that aged poorly about that line lol

thug/future/metro also benefitting from drake's colonisation doesn't contradict it at all

Of course a white kendrick fan would say colonization benefits both parties lol

There's no way you really think there's a media push against Kendrick, LOL

He’s the most industry-backed, media-pushed rapper ever. They hand him awards like it's mandatory. Didn't you see BET give him everything, even though other artists actually dropped non-Drake-related music this year?

Was gonna ignore all these posts but I said f*** it, I’ll respond to one of them

Kenny been benefiting from the beef that he won, that is true. Drake was the clear LOSER of the battle, so ofc from a recent perspective, it’s gonna look like Kenny is the machine and Drake is the underdog.

Y’all wanna act like Drake is some misunderstand underdog now? Fine. But you can’t also in the same breath brag about how he still the best streaming rapper in the game regardless. You gotta pick ONE narrative to stick by.

Kenny doesn’t have a $400 million dollar deal with UMG, or got handed Billboard Artist of the decade award, or get shoved down the throats of everyone who plays casual rap playlists on Spotify/Apple Music, or constantly show his face for fear of losing the slightest relevance, he moves differently.

Kenny is critically loved, that’s true and I never once said he wasn’t mainstream. But there’s no f***ing way he’s more industry then Drake in the grand scheme, and there’s no way he operates within the industry the same way Drake has and still does.

Never is too soon. But Drake is a pansy and really wants to be friends with these niggas that are clearly not f***ing with him.
