Idk man, it's a pretty personal album imo. I guess theoretically it'd be nice to have an album that's exclusively Die Slow / OK to cry type songs but that'd be sacrificing on other aspects. Songs like dropping jewels, stupid, contagious, 5th day dead, recognize real. Even if they aren't narrative outright, they are beautiful/emotive and fit what he said in the interviews for sure . The couple commercial/poppy joints don't tarnish it at all i dont think.

Honesty a good job of having cohesive production while not getting repetitive

I think Thug feels like he has some responsibility to have decent numbers on all his solo albums, especially considering he's trying to build his label of artists. I don't think he wants to risk the negative reception he might get if he sells under 80k

This might be the first mainstream rap album this year without a baby or durk feature lol
