Idk about creatively, maybe for big milestones, like his first plat record and his clothing line dropping

2019 was the year he showed the least creative growth imo

he watered down his own sound to appeal to a more mainstream audience

2016 was his most creative year imo

This where I’ll always disagree with a lot of you, I feel around summer 2016 when Jeffery dropped there was a clear drop in Thugs lyrical content and quality. The production was on another level but Thug himself was just kinda riding the beat a lot of times. Just my opinion tho and I did learn to love all eras of thug lol

Bro how can you disrespect Jeffery like that .. you really think he was just riding the beat on songs like Wyclef Jean, Harambe and Kanye West ?

They sound great sonically , but he stopped using a lot of metaphors and punchlines at that time and that’s what I first loved Thugs music for , he would just say somewhat you’ve never heard someone say before lmao.for example Floyd Maywether on first listen I was like wtf cause those first 2 lines are lazy af, then they became iconic and everyone gotta yell it if they hear the song.
I’m just saying at the time I didn’t fw the Jeffery style

You’re not alone I definitely remember critiquing the same thing around that time, but now with all these leaks we’ve gotten and the time I’ve spent with the album, Jeffery is by far my favorite era
