thug also says he personally doesn't care about sales numbers. I know ktt's full of data a***ysts and label shills nowadays so what do y'all think about this statement from one of the world's biggest artists?
These artists are millionaires, I don’t think they care outside of keeping their labels off their backs
I think following the charts and chart trajectories is interesting to me. Why is that so hard to understand?

its interesting to me too ngl but I feel like its all some people want to talk about.
It's good if artists don't care about their sales numbers. I love that aspect of the music scene but at the same time it's very toxic. During drops you focus on the numbers instead of the music. My anxiety is at an all time high if my favorite artists' numbers are looking to be low. Not something I have experienced often but for example after CLB dropped I was hella f***ing nervous right up to the point where the HDD report came in. I can imagine artists feel the same way. That's why many artists make music that caters to the charts. Honestly the music scene would be so much better if the Hot 100 and BB200 didn't exist.
let’s not make separate threads for every quote of an interview pls
