Yeah I feel you, I was deeply moved by Take Care back in the day but then I realized that it was mostly the production and his fragile singing voice bro

Think about a track like Over My Dead Body.. the setting makes you feel like he's on some super introspective s*** but he was still a passive aggressive b****, "ummm I think I killed everybody in the game last year!" like

Look What You've Done is great, but even then it's just another braggadocious track under disguise

Also half of Weeknd OG album was given to Drake to make Take Care so calling Drake his influence is insane.

Wayne is absolute s*** today but I do remember a time hip hop seemed to be dying and Wayne brought in the punchline rap.

Punchlines saved rap in-between Kanye's projects.. mixtape out every other week.. as much as I hate to admit it...
