I can’t think of an artist aside from Pac that came out better after prison honestly.

Lil Wayne dropped Sorry 4 the Wait like half a year after getting out of jail

Nah he was different. Sorry 4 the Wait was the first mixtape where Wayne sounded like he lost a step. Lot of lines didn't rhyme and he wasn't relentlessly snapping like his run that ended with no ceilings

Look at all these f***ing losers in this thread so mad 😂

Reasonable thing to be mad about

dawg what are you talking about lmfao, that tape alone sent Carter 4 hype through the roof. niggas run didn’t end with no ceilings? Bruh I Am Not A Human Being, Sorry 4 the Wait and Carter 4 were all back to back. maybe rebirth was an off time? but the nigga made back up for it quick lol. everything after Carter 4 is the end of his run

Obviously. I don't think you're understanding what I'm saying. S4TW is a great tape but it isn't not a No Ceilings or Dedication. Just like C4 is great but not a C2 or 3

I think this depends on how much of Fireman to No Ceilings Wayne you saw vividly

By S4TW it was in the middle where people definitely still fw it but I remember in real time ehh this aint really the same and then he never got “it” back

Trukfit post Rikers Wayne is similar to post You Aint Got The Answers Sway Ye. It was never the same

dawg…the statement I was challenging was Young Thug having best run since Tupac post prison (which was probably just trollin). we don’t have to do this on a Saturday lmfao

Lil Wayne was the only music on my mp3 player from middle school to sophomore year 2007-2012. this was very common with a lot of niggas I grew up with. his run died off after C4

They like these dudes songs because they being ignorant saying ridiculous bullshit and then get super mad when these dudes turn the beat off and still be ignorant saying ridiculous bullshit that just happens to be too far politically incorrect (although this time he kept the beat on lmaooo). No Dream T Pain Drake Kanye Gucci etc just Wayne and if you’re telling the truth that may be why you don’t feel like he fell off lmaoo but the rest of us slowly started to see the decline at S4TW. Blunt Blowin, She Will, etc he still has some gems in this era but it’s kinda like it was a different artist than Da Drought Dedication etc dude. It’s kinda like Rebirth/09-2010 Wayne never left and kinda got worse from even there

I watched She Will be the #1 video on 106 & park for like 3 months man. Carter 4 era was huge and then the decline started massively after that lol. Carter 4 just had a lot of pop influence cause nigga was working with Recovery Eminem, Moment 4 Life Nicki and 2010s Drake but it didn’t feel any different. like come on man, that’s literally feature/remix era Wayne we was still talking about lmfao

C4 got A LOT of hate. And everything that niggas hated about C4 was present in S4TW and that's what I'm speaking to. You're looking at his run/prime as a wall when it was really a slope. His prison release was the beginning of the slope downward. That's all im saying

And I remember the post prison feature/remix run to go along with those projects that was highly appreciated and had classics like the video posted above which directly, again, speaks to “best post prison run since Tupac”

in the 6 months post prison, he was on s*** like Welcome to My Hood, John, Hustle Hard, Look At Me Now, 6 foot 7 foot, Motivation, Faded, HYFR, I’m On One, like them s***s were and are still all huge. Just speaking to a statement I disagreed with based on Wayne post prison output

so you saying Young Thug has music comparable and a run to what Wayne dropped in 2011? that was the original comment and niggas decided to start talking down Wayne
