Everything about this album is a trophy, an obelisk, a testimony to thug and his influence. Even the criticisms ITT from superfans..they're for it being "watered down" / unambitious. Why would it be perceived that way? Because the style he developed in the latter half of the decade won so decisively, his children so dominant that it's now too on-the-nose for some of us. He won so hard it became hard to follow!
But the thing that makes that still dope to me is that it shows up in the sound. Like him and the family are celebrating
