Unfoonk, Young Thug’s brother, is one of the YSL co-defendants who previously earned their freedom back via a plea deal.
Unfortunately, the embattled artist was arrested again last month for violating the terms of his agreement. At the time, officers found a weapon on his person. Unfoonk was brought in on charges of possessing a firearm as a convicted felon, persons associated with a criminal street gang to participate in illegal activity, and a few other traffic offences.
Today (June 5), the Georgia native had his day in court. Sadly for him, Judge Ural Glanville sentenced him to nearly a decade in jail. “Part of the special condition was that you were not supposed to possess a gun,” Unfoonk – born Quantavious Grier – was lectured by the Glanville. “And the state was pretty clear. I find, based upon a preponderance of the evidence, that the state has proved its case that you have violated your probation.”
“Your attorney has asked me to consider a revocation of two years. And I certainly respect her, and I respect that you don’t know unless you ask. But the issue I find aggravating in this particular circumstance is that you got arrested with a gun within six months of you being placed on probation,” the judge continued.
aw man. free Unfoonk

aw man. free Unfoonk
He had a gun 6 months after getting the second chance of a lifetime. I think 10 years is too much, but come on.

I think they were being sarcastic.
Imagine feeling bad for someone who rats out their own brother.
he just did 11 years too iirc
Damnnnn gotta do better
I’m torn on this. On one hand I hate the law and legal system and I hate that our society basically forces it upon us like we aren’t free living beings
On the other I know without it we’d likely have anarchy or at the very least we’d be as savage as our ancestors so there doesn’t really seem to be a viable alternative at this stage of human history
That said as much as we hate it the law of the land is the law of the land and guys like this judge who believe there is justice in this madness we call a legal system live to enforce it. Last thing you wanna do is try one of these hard asses. He f***ed up bad
I don’t understand the appeal of riding around strapped anyway like bro is s*** really hot for you like that in the streets rn?

YSL formed for a reason, it got to a point where people were willing to kill and die behind affiliations
lotta people in atlanta have to look over their shoulder bc they have enemies
its just not very publicized
We said "free Unfoonk" for years, & when he gets lucky enough barely beat a life sentence, he does some dumb s*** just to go back in, and then gets another chance at freedom, just to f*** up AGAIN. Thug has to be disappointed fr.
Upon reviewing the provided article, one peculiar aspect that stands out is the inconsistent use of names for the judge. Initially, the article refers to the judge as "Judge Ural Glanville," but later on, during the judge's statement to Unfoonk, the name is mistakenly mentioned as "Glanville" without the title. This inconsistency in naming the judge could be seen as an error or oversight in the article's writing.
