π‘ π£οΈ FOR the eventual internet-only Rap fans crybaby nerd(s) that will post in the thread whining about the "Big 3" label:
But RIP to the real 2020s kings that were the biggest than any of the current 2020s & all their post-death albums that outsell nearly all these niggas still:
Juice Wrld
XXXTentacion
Pop Smoke
Then the 3 HMs of the proper 2020s would probably be:
Playboi Carti, Drakeo the Ruler (also RIP) & Lil Baby - in my humble speculation. Maybe even King Von over one of them (also RIP). So many genuine stars that fell down man. That's 5 alone, and 3 that were already and would continue to be guaranteed major players.
Still wild how all three of them died and caused the 2nd biggest alternate timeline shift in our genre that changed everything - 1st being 2Pac and Biggie. It's depressing and bull how we're the only genre that have to deal with this like that.

James Brown, Funkadelic & Gil-Scott Heron is the Big 3 of the 70s for Rap btw

This is fax fr.
James Brown birthed Mystikal
My modern Big 3 is Kendrick, Tyler, and Doechii
My All time is Eminem, Ye, and Tyler.
And that is for rappers (or at least artists who rap regularly) only. If it included all artists, Able would be in both
EDIT: swapped Doechii and JID in the modern one. Knew I was forgetting someone, lol

I always listen to a lot of Gil-Scott Heron around this time of year, he deserves his flowers
