Artist: Bob Dylan
Title: Subterranean Homesick Blues
Album: Bringing It All Back Hone
Release Date: 1965
My takeaway from it that you don't need bob, or anyone else for that matter to tell you "what's-up?"
All one needs is to js pay attention to your own intertution and that's where the solution resides, plus I believe it's a nod to his earlier track "Blowin' In The Wind' featured on his sophomore effort 'The Freeheelin' Bob Dylan (1962)
I shall conclude with a show of appreciation towards the cover art to 'Bringing It All Back Home', it's immersive, psychedelic, and quite surrealistic and on top of that the album is top-tier. (RIP Sally Grossman) the woman featured on the album artwork.
I'm interested in KTT's interpretation of the line, so fireaway!

Good thread OP. My interpretation is similar to yours. I think it represents Dylan's refusal to being called the voice of a generation and all that stuff from his protest song days

he never enables the media/press to place him into a box and this why I harbour admiration towards him, he refuses to play the futile games that the journalists attempt to engage him in.
he's his own person, real asf salt of the earth type of the dude, atleast that's the impression i get, but in truth he's an enigma which makes him an interesting dude.
That is also my interpretation. Your inner voice, intuition, has all the answers already. The inner psychic.
He's telling the listener they should buy one of these:
We're all chemicals, vitamins and minerals
Vicodin with inner tubes, wrapped around the arm
To see the vein like a chicken on the barn

sometimes it's better just to follow your instincts instead of wasting time asking for other people's opinions on matters

Yea this line isnt as ambiguous as alot of his other lines but its still a vital piece of wisdom. Imma go in tho cause ive been thinking bout this recently.
experience is yours alone. No amount of advice from elders or peers will exempt u from experience. Hes saying follow the direction of the βwindβ aka everything that led u to this moment right now.
in my case id rather just fail and feel pain doing my own thing than to succeed succeed following some advice. Cause thats where real learning from experience comes in. Thats the most important thing in this life imo.
u typed allat on a single bar god damn brah get out that man a******
You dont need to wait to make a move
