Their 60's run is unreal. Something Else, Village Green Preservation society, Arthur, etc.. S*** makes me feel like I'm in front of a garden, sipping tea and watching lads play cricket.

“The most successful flop ever” really described them well

I think they’re overlooked but I’ve never really had the conversation with anyone

Arthur is probably my favorite album of their run, but its super close between that and Something else, and Village

My favorite is Village Green. Cliche, I know. It's such a masterpiece and feels like everything was building up to that moment. Ray's genius couldn't have been more evident on that record. Do You Remember Walter, Big Sky, Wicked Annabella, etc.

I hate the way America overlooked them. Man, sometimes we're just so f***in late to the party that it's completely shameful and embarrassing. And I blame that on the AFM. They should've been as big as The Who! By the way, that's the DEFINITIVE VERSION of DANDY. F*** the Herman's Hermits.

one of the prettiest songs ever created. Hmm now I'm over here trying to see what my Top 5 of the 60' is. So much heat from my favorite decade in music.

i feel like outkast should count as a band(they always either used their production team or produced themselves, andre even played all instruments on the love below) so

    joy division
    nirvana
    outkast
    black sabbath
    radiohead

if outkast isn’t in the list the beatles, the strokes, or portishead would be next on the list idk

Shout out to The Beatles, Slowdive and a few other bands (can't remember anything rn bc my brain is a mush), they almost made my list

Somebody once told me "if you don't like the album Paranoid by Black Sabbath I would think you just don't like music", he was right

  • Oct 31, 2020

outkast wouldve absolutely made my list, but i tend to think as rappers as group rather than bands besides the roots
